Cortese Single Origins Ethiopia has taken its name from the area where it is cultivated, the Sidamo Mountain, in Ethiopia. We also call this coffee “coffee garden “because the quantity delivered to the processing stations, is the same amount that could be produced in an area as large as our garden. After processing, the coffee beans of each farm are delivered to the local market (managed by the government), covered with the parchment before exported. Produced at an altitude between 1.600 and 1.900 m. The variety of the plant is Typica and collected between November and December. The process is washed.
Single-origin coffee is coffee grown within a single known geographical origin. Sometimes this is a single farm, or a specific collection of beans from a single country. The name of the coffee is then usually the place it was grown to whatever degree available. Single origin coffees have uniformity in terms of taste and aromas. Often the farm is part of a community program, providing better labor conditions and health care services.
